Everything You Need To Know
Yes, the Umngot River is very safe and calm. We provide life jackets for all guests, and our guides are always present to ensure safety during water activities.
We recommend bringing swimwear, comfortable trekking shoes, a light jacket for evenings, sunscreen, and a power bank. We provide tents, sleeping bags, and meals.
The river is clearest between October and April. This is the best time for boating and camping. Monsoons (June-September) are beautiful but the water may not be as transparent.
Yes, we have clean, well-maintained common washrooms available for our guests near the campsite.
We are located in Darrang, about a 3-4 hour drive from Shillong. You can hire a taxi directly to the riverside drop-off point, followed by a short 15-minute walk to the tents.
Yes, there is a designated paid parking area nearby for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers. It is safe and monitored.
Jio and Airtel networks work reasonably well in the area for calls and basic data. However, signal strength can fluctuate, so we recommend downloading offline maps.
Yes! We are a pet-friendly campsite. We just ask that you keep them on a leash/supervised to ensure the comfort of other guests.
